del.icio.us is a Social Bookmarking tool that was just acquired by Yahoo. del.icio.us remains the best, largest, fastest, and most elegant social bookmarking service on the Web. In fact, del.icio.us is the benchmark that all others use. You can see my bookmarks in the right hand side of the page.

There is no reason that you couldn't use this same capability within a course to be able to keep a current list of links up to date. You can also give students assignments to go and research and share bookmarks.
